Planning Director

Chartered Town Planner Member of the RTPI Town & Regional Planning, University of Dundee (1993)

Ed Persse is the Planning Director of EJFP Planning Ltd, a chartered Town Planner and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Ed earned his Town and Regional Planning degree from the University of Dundee in 1993.

From 1995, Ed worked in the public sector with Torbay Borough Council and West Devon Borough Council. He gained extensive experience across a wide range of planning issues, from major housing and retailing developments to simple domestic extensions, acting as an expert witness for the Council in both Planning Inquiries and the Magistrates' Court. He has experience in complicated enforcement matters, including ensuring compliance with legal agreements.

Ed left local government in August 2010 and moved into the private sector, joining a small planning and land agency. In October 2011 he set up EJFP Planning Ltd, providing planning advice and support to private and commercial developers.

That experience makes him a versatile consultant, adept at dealing with both urban and rural developments — and it is what makes EJFP Planning well placed to guide an application through a system that grows more complicated every year.
